A thought experiment:
There are two restaurants, identical in every respect, except one. One of
the
restaurants (which we will call ³Zig²) gives every customer a ³customer
satisfaction² survey form. The customers are encouraged to answer
questions
about the food, the service and so on. There is also a blank space for
comments. The other restaurant (³Zag²) does not do this. Indeed,
whenever a
customer makes comments about the restaurant, they are told that these
suggestions are rude, not constructive and not welcome.
Zig managers carefully read the survey forms, discuss them with the other
employees and sometimes make changes in the food and service procedures.
Zag
managers almost never make changes, and, when they do, they only make
changes
intended to reduce their workload or increase their income.
Which restaurant will be more successful?
Which restaurant would you prefer your government to be like?
Which restaurant is the CCP-controlled government most like?
