In the 1930's, and the 1940's, Judea pitted the United States against
Germany. Adolf Hitler was an honorable man, and a good man, and a
great leader. They should have been united against the Soviet Union,
an evil slave state, and an evil empire, and against Joseph Stalin, an
evil man.
Result: the Cold War. The world nearly died on several occasions,
from a nuclear war. Harry S. Truman deliberately gave atomic secrets
to Joseph Stalin, to cause a nuclear war. It would have taken the
Soviets 20 years to develop nuclear weapons. Instead, it took just 4
years. John F. Kennedy also tried to cause a nuclear war, during the
Cuban Missile Crisis. He ordered the U.S. destroyers in the Cuban
blockade to fire depth charges at a Soviet submarine. The Soviet
commander ordered his officers to fire torpedoes at the U.S.
destroyer. A Russian officer refused, sacrificed his career, and
prevented nuclear war.
