Torture indeed ... this is what the torch relay now represents to the
world.
No surprise that, even on Anzac Day, when we remember those who helped
preserve democracy and our way of life, democracy-haters still crawl
out to cheer a few misguided Australians (and Chinese ex-pats coerced
by their own government) to sup****t what has now become a symbol for
bloodshed in Tibet carried out by a fascist government.
Sad that any Australian would willingly participate in this shameful
farce effectively sup****ting the un-elected Chinese government. At
least it was poetic justice that the twit Ian Thorpe managed to
extinguish the flame. If he had done it on purpose, he might actually
deserve our admiration.
And of course, the behaviour of the hired Chinese goons who "guard"
the torch relay, and the Chinese government sup****ters who were bussed
in to attack pro-Tibet protestors, are just stark reminders of the
terror that Chinese and Tibetan people, neither of whom have ever been
allowed to choose their own government, have to live with if they dare
speak out against the Chinese leader****p.
