Albeit barely ....
At 0.6% GDP growth, the US economy is not dead, yet. In fact
it is a little stronger than what the majority of economists
expected. Not taking chances, US Fed lowered rate 0.25% as a
reluctantly self-imposted bias towards growth.
And whistled past the inflation graveyard .... :)
