If US president's unpopularity ....
Can be balloted, then the gentleman from Texas would score a
ginormous landslide. The latest CNN poll, showed that 71% of
Americans hold a dim view of the gentleman.
Which is a record among all US presidents in modern history.
Nevertheless, his approval rating, at 28%, is still ahead of
that of President Truman. Only 21% of Americans, approved of
the gentleman from Missouri. His handling of the Korean war,
and treatment of the wildly popular General MacArthur, stood
his in bad stead among the American people.
However, history is favorably disposed to the gentleman from
Missouri and placed him among the pantheon of great US pres-
idents and luminous world statesmen. In that light, perhaps
the gentleman from Texas is in good company.
And, will go down as a history great as well? .... :)
