Now hang on! Do you mean the recent spate of violence and killings and 
burnings in Lhasa, that occurred earlier in '08? Because I know at least 
one of the links you snipped out of my reply, depicts how people were 
being arrested long before '08.

were sentenced to three years in prison simply for unfurling the Tibetan 
flag, circa 1999.

So, are you sure you have your causality correct? Are you sure the 
suppression is a response to the violence in Lhasa, and not the other way 
round? 

Or are you saying there's always been violence and killings and burnings 
in Tibet, ever since the PRC took over in the 50s, and the PRC has to 
apply political and religious suppression as a response? 

I just want to know what it is you are arguing.
