flexible fast food chain (ala steve jackson's gurps game) a modular system
designed to market regional fast food favorites throughout the world.
separate names but the same cor****ate structure and methodologies and even
some of the same items. don't try and compete with the big guys... just
win
a local following and be a lucrative franchise op****tunity in dozens of
different nations. i mean most foods are the same basic constituent parts.
the rice you buy cheap for the thai place can be distributed for the
mexican
place too. same with many of the other ingredients... although you'll want
to stay local where possible as far as food goes to avoid ****pping costs.
senior meals. kids meals with toys that zip around on the floor or
something
fun (not just action figures), a loss leader that goes well with a staple
menu item... killer deal on fries.... burger price ain't steep. dining
area
that can be sequestered off for local little league s****ts or kids
parties.
deals with local schools or charity events... where you don't lose any
money... but you get recognition... your staff and product is paid for at
cost, include catering plans to that effect as well, also do-it-yourself
kits. sling small-scale menus at local holidays and events. Big Thai
Restaurant is almost the same as VietKing is almost the same as ChinaBoy
is
almost the same as CantonYummy, mediterranean groupings, euro groupings,
fenno-scandinavia-russian groupings, southwest u.s., mexico, central
american groupings, north american/canadian groupings (with some regional
distinctions, poutine?), aussiebbqburger. don't be afraid to serve
alcoholic
beverages... but only in context. french has a split of wine for 3.00,
aussie has a pint.9 of lager for 4.00, u.s. has sodas, mexico has
horchata/tamarindo. Don't try and compete, try and fill a niche and
compete
by filling that regional niche by buying bulk and distributing shared
items.
all the shared items, but then say here in indio, california, you buy
cilantro for mexican food and dates for date shakes and citrus (that gets
distributed). Keep prices reasonable. I should be able to spend 7.00 and
have almost enough for 2 meals (although that wouldn't include a drink or
an
appetizer) 12.00 to feed a family of 4 (sans drinks) comparable prices
worldwide. once your current aid situation is resolved, use future profits
to assist other 'natural' disaster relief systems.
p.s. if bad guys get into franchises... make sure they have to sell (but
not
because the franchise is unlucrative) to pay for sudden mortgage, hospital
bills, bail bonds, lawsuits, etc.
p.p.s. anyone besides aid to china's quake/future natural disasters who
steals this concept? will find big trucks ramming into their franchises.
truck costs a few thousand dollars, the business costs a couple hundred
thousand dollars... who is gunna win? use food profits to pay for the
trucks.
p.p.p.s. anyone who uses that truck thing to disrupt aid? is going to find
a
VERY well-armed insurgent group in their nation with a legitimate
political
agenda.
