US Air Force: Operation China

by "Albert K. Fung" <akwfung@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 17, 2008 at 08:29 AM

Fully loaded, engines roaring ....

Two ginormous, heavy-duty, flying workhorses of the world's
most powerful military taxied gently onto the runways. Then
they waited patiently for their mission orders directly from
Wa****ngton.

C-17 Globemasters are logistic backbone of the US military.

They're long-ranged and are designed to carry ginormous pay-
loads with global reach. And, can carry heavy tanks, armour-
ed vehicles and earth-moving equipments to the battlefronts,
that have short, make****ft and even non-existent runways. It
is these attributes that makes them the weapon of choice for
rapid deployment by the US military, for tactical trans****t-
ation.

Finally the order arrived, with the GPS coordinates of their
mission's destination. The pilots punched in the data, raved
up the engine. Then the two flying warehouses, full of ready
to eat meals, bottled water, medical supplies, blankets, and
tents, took off - one from the US Air Force base in Hawaii,
while the other, Alaska. They were ordered to penetrate deep
into the airspace of China.

And to land in Chengdu ....
