And for the past over 5,000 years, the Chinese "population wax and
wane. People cleave asunder and coalesce". Emperors killed thousands
at the slidest displeasure. Invaders killed millions. Dynasties
changed at the expense of the peasants with wholesale slaughter.
There are more human bones buried in China than anywhere else.
To call the 5,000 years of China's existence a "civilization" is a
myth. China was a killing field.
