More complicated indeed ....

The salient doctrine of the eminent school, is the Con****ian
order. It's an invaluable tool for the maintenance of social
harmony. Provided, of course, that there is no weak link any
where in the hierarchy. And, when the anchor of the order is
the problem (the monarch), then all bets are off.

The Mencius political doctrine clears that Con****ian bind.

Not unlike object oriented progamming, it needs an exception
handling mechanism. The doctrine of mandate of heaven serves
that purpose superbly. And, makes the Con****ian order palat-
able.

One must, however, look beyond the superstitious elements to
appreciate its Machievellian design.  The eminent Con****ian-
ist certainly understand the silent nature of China's tradit
-ional source of moral authority. The silent partner bestows
the needed authority and authenticity, while leving its will
to human interpretation. Out of the chaotic morass, surely a
strong will emerge to replace the immoral monarch, and claim
the mantle. The mighty can then proclaim: $BJtE7>5L?(B (the will
of the divine is served). Or in the Con****ian parlance, it's
a justified, tem****ary suspension of the sacred order.

For the mandate of heaven ....
