I have *never* used a pseudonym and though I lurk in various forestry and
conservation groups the only time I appear in other ng's is in
cir***stances
like this, when the thread is cross-posted by someone else and there is no
way of telling which group the respondee's are posting from.

Do you think the Solomon Islanders would understand this concept?
How does one even say "Variety is the spice of life" in their language for
instance?

Well Berneray for one - there they speak an obscure dialect known as
garlic
that is totally unintelligable even to other some mainland garlic
speakers.

Must remember to pass that on to the dozen or so Samoan's I happpen to
know.
In my experience they find it difficult enough to get a job here (NZ) even
when they *do* speak good English.
