Sure! It would end your reputation as the least literate national
group in Europe. You must agree that most English people are pretty
ignorant, apart from knowing how to fill out a football pool form or
place a bet. We see it here in English posters' spelling.

I remember watching a bus salesman on English TV whining about losing
a large sale in Cuba. His beef was that the competition could speak
Spanish and he couln't! God save us all from such a Little Englander
attitude, which I gather is also your attitude.

I did some very profitable business for some years because I speak
Cantonese Chinese. Chinese buyers loved me because the Scots have an
excellent reputation in Asia for honesty and for not accepting bribes.
Most Chinese wouldn't touch a Chinese salesman with a 10 ft.

commission somehow. It's like watching sharks in action.
