Let's just get this into true perspective. There are, "overall genetic 
similarities", between the people who wrote the re****t and every other 
anthropoid that ever walked this planet. In fact there are also, "overall 
genetic similarities", between everything that walks, flies, crawls, swims

or slithers on this Planet.
The point is that the paths followed by the peoples of what is now
Scotland 
have now been shown to be rather different from what was believe but a few

years ago. Several long held, "FACTS", have been shown as utter rubbish.
Let us start by considering the Ice Ages  - these ice-ages span the 
archaeological finds and that proves man's stay was tem****ary and only 
during those times the ice moved back north. Thus the early finds are not 
linked to before the last ice-advance.
Next up is the long held belief that the first incomers of the present ice

movement northwards were only hunter-gatherers. The diggings at Howick in 
the north of England show that these people had at lease one long 
established home-base and it was re-built several times.
Next myth was that the incomers came across the land bridge over the now 
English/French channel but the DNA study shows that this was almost 
certainly not overland but by sea and it follows a path from Africa, round

Spain and ****tugal, along the south coast and up both British Coasts. It 
then spread inwards overland.
Except that there is also evidence that the former inhabitants of, 
"Doggerland", (a once land bridge to the main European continent), would 
have been line of sight to that long established settlement at Howick.
Now Doggerland sank into the North Sea about the time that Britain was 
rising from it and a dig in Inverness, (of all places), uncovered a thin 
layer of very white fine sand which proved there had been a sudden and 
devastating ingress of the sea. This dated to time when the ridge in the 
North Sea that kept the cold Artic waters out was broken and allowed the 
cold Artic waters to raise the North Sea's levels and sink Doggerland 
beneath the surface.
What more natural than the former Doggerland inhabitants would end up on
the 
nearest dry land - Howick? This is born out by the DNA testing which shows

the areas around Howick are almost certainly linked to what was once the 
other side of that Doggerland land bridge.

Another obvious myth is the one about the Scots coming from Ireland. The 
fact is that the sea was the super-highway of those far off days and a far

more easy route for people to travel than over a trackless, wild 
countryside. It was thus easy for the tribes to move around the islands
and 
coasts of Northern Scotland and Ireland. Quite simply the Scotii tribe 
inhabited the land around the Irish Sea.
