Seriously, it's a dreadful pity that there isn't more Cornish cultural

Same year, but here in Australia (Wollongong, NSW). I do remember my 100%
Cornish grandmother (born at Moonta, SA - Australia's little Cornwall)
doing everything dreckly and talking about her grandmother (born in
Camborne in 1815) who spoke barely recognisable English "Spaek one
together
won' 'e!"
