I found a nice map of the walk at

http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=10513

as well as another site to do with Francis Frith, with some old maps and
photos at

http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/cornwall/tresillian/tresillian.htm

then on the same site some photos of Tresillian circa 1955

then some biographical details, including such as this Cornish family who
must have found a hole in the ground they liked down under:

Magor and Menadue families
In the 1840's Magors and Menadues migrated from Mithian to South
Australia,
and I am the product of the marriages between the families.

If anyone would like to correspond with me on this page I have more
details
and would love to learn new ones.

I live in Adelaide South Australia and am visiting Mithian in May 2007 to
learn what I can.

Thankyou

Ruth Gates nee MAGOR
My father's mother was a MENADUE

Here's another hilarious episode - also to do with Australians:

Tregony clock tower
The clock tower has two dates on it - one from the original building, and
one from when it was restored. Apparently the village council sold the
clock
to a visiting Australian who wanted to take it back to his country. The
villagers were outraged, dismantled the clock overnight, and hid it in a
local field for twenty years until they were sure it was safe. Ealing
comedy
via Cornwall! I lived in the house in the photo, so the clock is very dear

to my heart -said Amanda Pickering.
