Bush Rejects Dissidents' Call to Change Cuba Policy

The majority of Cuban dissidents have long opposed US policy toward
their country. (See featured article, "Do Cuban dissidents sup****t the
US embargo?" as my website.) One of the few who fully sup****ted US
policy, Beatrice Roque, has now called on the Bush regime to loosen
these cruel sanctions. As usual, the regime has turned a deaf ear to
any pleas to let up on its decades-long war on the Cuban people. Even
Amnesty International has re****ted that these sanctions are "used to
harm the most vulnerable members of [Cuban] society." Also from their
website:

"Amnesty International has called for the US embargo against Cuba to
be lifted, as it is highly detrimental to Cubans' enjoyment of a range
of economic, social and cultural rights, such as the right to food,
health and sanitation - particularly affecting the weakest and most
vulnerable members of the population. According to UNICEF, the
availability of medicines and basic medical materials has decreased in
Cuba as a consequence of the US embargo against the island."
