They may be mercenaries, but they are not crazy. The embargo is hated
by just about all Cubans. No "dissident" who cares for their political
future would sup****t it. Besides, it seems the money keeps flowing in
even if there are some disagreements. While the US regime doesn't
really give a damn about them or what they think, they are seen as
useful political tools to advance US imperial interests in the region.
I guess they are hoping the rest of the world will overlook local
opposition to this genocidal policy, and will join them in them in
implementing the regime's Final Solution to the Cuban Question. (This
seems to be PL's fondest hope anyway.) This strategy, of course, has
been be complete failure. As we see here, the opposition to the
embargo is only increasing.
