Not necessarily. They have to live among the Cuban people after all.
To come out in favour of sanctions that even Amensty International has
conceded are "used to harm to the most vulnerable members of society"
would be political if not actual suicide.

The vast majority seem to sup****t the government and the Revolution.
We saw this again in the national elections earlier this year. Because
of Fidel's retirement, these elections were widely covered in the
international media. And there was not a hint from any quarater -- not
even from Miami -- that this was anything but a clean vote. So quit
trying to pretend that Cubans are somehow being brutally suppressed by
their government. In Cuba, unlike say the USA, the majority rules. If
that causes problems for some US-backed "di$$idents," too bad!
