I think we've pretty much put to rest the idea that America's health
care woes are a result of insufficient regulation and government
involvement. Any form, or variation on the Western European state
sponsored heath care model is simply not going to improve the
health care system in this country. The only way to improve the
quality of care for most Americans is to address some of the un-
derlying presumptions behind the argument for socialized medicine.
