Yes, it's exotic word in the English speaking colonies like
yours and mine. It's what they call trucks in the Auld Bwitain.
When my son was about three or four, he kept pronouncing
the word 'truck' as '****'. At times, it was quite disconcerting
when in the middle of a dinner in a crowded restaurant, he
would point out of a window and screamed 'daddy ****, ****'.
We tried to make him switch to 'lorry', but he must have been
already a rock solid kiwi republican and refused to budge.
