Whoever wrote this article is smoking some crack...it's hard to find an
item that is anywhere close to truth. Who are these people and why are
they compelled to lie?
Here is an extract from Wikipedia - at least they quote their sources
"The most recent data show that the pro****tion of Americans killed by
firearms is more than three and a half times greater than the next
country of comparable development (****tugal.)[37] The pro****tion of
Americans killed by firearms per year is more than seven and a half
times greater than the comparable pro****tion of residents in the 10
developed countries with the next highest rates of firearm homicides.["

parison
To say that Canada is twice as violent as the US is plainly absurd...
Switzerland's case is a bit different also. They have a gun control in
place. And they know who has what gun...we have no clue.
Paradoxically, the second amendment is closer in spirit to what
Switzerland practices - I refer to the "well organized militia" part. It
certainly does not mean that every Tom, Dick and Harry should be able to
arm himself to the teeth on the off chance that some other Tom, Dick and
Harry decides to attack him.
No, the fact that Charlton Heston blindly defended this imaginary right
does not endear him to me. Conservatives have some odd heroes. Playing
at a tough guy in front of other wanabee tough guys is not enough to
wor****p him. How about some real accomplishments?
