For all those holding their breath for a change in the direction
of the U.S. foreign policy this November - DON'T. Because
there is one more factor which did not figure in Gerald Ford's
decision to pull the plug on South Vietnam (and which is not
even mentioned in Mr. Herman's article), and that is the security
of the Persian Gulf oil supplies. Might as well vote for McCain.
He's the only U.S. presidential candidate who's honest on this
issue.
