Well, as a fully committed agnostic I have no answer to a question
such as this. All issues related to religion, theism or atheism raise
no interest in me. I don't think about them and it's prefectly okay
with me if they spend their entire lifes doing nothing but thinking
about them. I have nothing to say on these issues. To me, they
are childish fairytales and thinking about them in my adulthood
would be useless waste of time. All I pay attention to are the
issues related to real physical world and real people (as opposed
to imaginary, mythological beings, leading role of working class, etc.)
The science with all its real physical world experiments has never
and will never confirm/prove existence or nonexistence of god(s)
and of any world "beyond". To me this theist part of human
culture is of no direct interest to me. I am happy to ignore it.
My stance towards religion is purely defensive, that is if other
people start dictating to me what I have to do or not to do and
curtailing my freedoms because of their beliefs, I take strong
umbridge at that.
In short, I try to live without being controlled by *beliefs*.
I am neither a theist nor atheist, the former requires irrational
belief in something supernatural while the latter requires similarly
unsubstantiatable belief in non-existence of the same.
