Pelosi called for "an independent, outside investigation" to clear the
Dalai Lama"s name, and challenged the world to "speak out against
Chinese oppression." "We join you in seeking the truth," she told the

Speaking separately to media people, Ms Pelosi said, "There is
interest among our members to have a resolution calling for such an
investigation, to make sure there are no such association between His

She also demanded China "to allow monitors into Tibet, to allow

protests and during violent crackdown by the Chinese Government".She
insisted the world to know the truth about Tibet and described the
situation in Tibet as a "challenge to the conscience of the world."
"If freedom-loving people throughout the world do not speak out
against Chinese oppression in China and Tibet, we have lost all moral
authority to speak on behalf of human rights anywhere in the world,"
Ms Pelosi said.

Ms Pelosi said she was not surprised "about the use of violence on the
part of the Chinese government," and said she was hopeful that the
violence would not continue in Tibet.

Wisconsin lawmaker Jim Sensenbrenner Jr. said, "In United States
Congress, there is no division between Democrats and Republicans on
the issue of protecting the Tibetan culture and eliminating the
repression in Tibet and elsewhere around the world". He insisted China
on the need to hold dialogue with the Dalai Lama and resolve Tibet
issue through non-violence.

Ms Pelosi said she and her team would "go with an added mission" to
call upon international community "to have an independent outside
investigation of the accusations made by the Chinese Government that
His Holiness was the instigator of the violence in Tibet."

foreign media from China, refusal of visas to foreign journalists, and
blaming the unrest on the "Dalai Lama"s conspiratorial clique" and
other unspecified dark forces supposedly manipulated from abroad. His

Tibet at present needs to lift from the unfortunate situation of the
current attempt by Chinese authorities to seal off Tibet from the rest
of the world.Peace does not prevail in Tibet as is re****ted by the
Chinese media but the fear psychosis is generated by the huge logistic
sup****t of Peoples army force deployed in the ares of the pro-
democracy protest in the regions of roof top Tibet.World knows that
the peace cultivated by states by oppressing their citizens in
Myanmer,Cuba, Palestine,Chichnya is peace by force.

China"s crackdown "is not correct," McCain said in the courtyard of
the French presidential Elysee Palace.Republican presidential hopeful
Sen. John McCain said Friday that China is harming its world image
with its crackdown in Tibet and expressed hope Beijing would seek a
peaceful solution to the crisis."The people there are being subjected
to mistreatment that is not acceptable with the conduct of a world
power, which China is," McCain said in response to a question by a
Chinese television journalist."There must be respect for human rights,
and I would hope that the Chinese are actively seeking a peaceful
resolution to this situation that exists which harms not only the
human rights of the people there but also the image of China in the
world."The White House has urged Beijing to respect Tibetan culture
and multi-ethnicity in its society.

McCain was in Paris for a matter of hours at the end of a weeklong
tour of the Middle East and Europe. He was traveling as part of a U.S.
congressional delegation including Sens. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., and
Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. that visited Iraq, Jordan, Israel and London.

people are increasing moving to Tibet.I don"t hate Han people. But the
government keeps using violence to suppress us, and that won"t solve
any problems between the Tibetans and the Han," said one Budhist monk
in Hezuo.

BERLIN - Germany"s foreign minister has warned China that its response
to the crisis in Tibet may jeopardize the Summer Olympics in Beijing,
a newspaper re****ted on Friday.

transparency in the ongoing conflict, according to an interview with
the newspaper Bild that will appear in Saturday"s edition.

"This much is clear: the Olympic games don"t work like they did 80
years ago," Steinmeier said according to an advance copy of the
article made available by Bild Friday.

"You can"t just host glamorous events for television while things are
going topsy-turvy in your own backyard. The host has to allow
thousands of journalists into the country -- you won"t be able to sweep
anything under the rug."APHis Holiness Dalai Lama is in Delhi likely
to meet national leader and more global politicians in respect of
