The Israelis want to attack Iran. Bush wants the Israelis to attack
Iran but knows if he becomes involved impeachment becomes a stronger
possiblity. Bush does not want the U.S. to suffer from Iranian
retaliation of a retalitory attack by Iran without political cover or
at least a chace to mitigate the Iranian response.
So, Bush acts like the U.S. has no control over Israel and denoinces
the attack. This way the U.S. can claim it has no culpability and
wanted diplomacy and relations with Iran.
Iran will accept the U.S. explaination of the attack and then covertly
do what it said it was going to do, which is work to destablize the
region but without any attack on the Green Zone via Iranian missles.
So, anything Iran can do now to keep the U.S. bogged down in Iraq and
Afghanistan for the short-term, it will do.
Meanwhile, bin Laden is laughing his ass off that the U.S. is going
broke and the U.S. is starting hostilities with Iranian ****ites. Bin
Laden is also happy we overthrew Saddam to get rid of a secularized
socialist dictator. Meanwhile, we are bled dry in order to purchase
oil from which our enemies are enjoying windfall profits.
Only 10% of the mony spent in Iraq goes to the soldiers, 90% of the
money goes to Bush's and Cheney's contractor buddies. The rise in gas
gives them the political cover they need to blame the economic
problems on Arabs when it is Bush's decision to invade that has caused
inflation.
