Closer to you will be the Scottish International Storytelling Festival
in Edinburgh (Fri 24th Oct - Sun 2nd Nov 2003).  See the Scottish
Storytelling Centre website at
http://www.scottishstorytellingcentre.co.uk/

That promises Native American, African and Biblical stories, as well as
Scottish and Irish.
