Let me see:
rec.collecting.stamps.
Yes you saved quite a few spamming usenet.
rec.collecting.stamps.discuss
Rather specialist but I suppose some might want to listen in.
uk.culture.arts.theatre
Those folks already have an audience (or are not worth watching)

uk.culture.arts.writing
Who on earth wants to watch someone writing?
Apology not accepted. F-U set.

Boy are you desperate.
So, you made a bid for some sponsor****p cash but found you couldn't hack
it?
Then you couldn't find any working acts through the usual channels so you
thought "I'll spam usenet for a few amateurs and wannabees to bale me
out."
I don't suppose you were planning to -pay- anyone to go and perform in
your
stead in a draughty, tem****ary structure on a bit of damp grass in the
middle of a city; oh no, that wouldn't be 'artistic' would it?
Will the same artistic scruples prevent you charging for admission..?
I wish you all the luck you deserve,
Cheerio,
