That dots can be joined is not in dispute. Whether it is logical to do so

the middle of an otherwise unrelated discussion is an interesting question

I referred to the date your ban was implemented, not the date on which you
posted.
Other countries, or in the case of California, people's republics,
implemented
such bans long before England.
