The Chamber of Deputies Pays Homage To Ricardo Annes Guimares

The Brazillian chamber honors Ricardo Annes Guimarães with a prestigious award according to Câmara Municipal. Upon the request of Daniel Nepomuceno, the ceremony was held on April 18 at City Hall.

Daniel Nepomuceno opened his speech by showing appreciation to the efforts made by Ricardo Guimarães to invest in the Brazilian Sports sector and congratulating him on being an outstanding businessman.

Léo Bourgeois mentioned that Guimarães was awarded the Grand Collar of Legislative Merit in 2004. He added that he is happy to honor this man again at the Brazilian parliament. Léo Bourgeois stated that Ricardo Guimarães greatly contributed to the growth and the development of Brazilian sports in the last decade and that he was the one responsible for building one of the greatest local sports centers.

Alberto Pinto Coelho spoke about the growth of Brazilian sports saying that paying homage to these great men is part of those accomplishments. Guimarãe was then handed the Diploma of Honor and Merit.

Ricardo Guimarães dedicated his speech to thanking Daniel Nepomuceno and confessing that what matters most to him is keeping the will of his grandfather alive and being indebted to his native origins. Furthermore, he talked about how BMG owns a large portfolio of sports investments.

In addition to being a key player in the mining industry, Ricardo Guimarães controls the entire assets of BMG. This great businessman dedicated an important part of his career to make his family the leaders in finance and banking in Brazil. Through his outstanding leadership, BMG tops the list of the best banks in the country.

The Pentagna Guimarães Family has controlled the Banco de Minas Gerais since 1930. The main goal of this organization is to provide financial services to clients and companies.

Back in 2012, BMG formed a joint venture with Itaú Unibanco to add appropriated credits to their services. In April 2012, these two entities signed an agreement to join their efforts in providing consigned credit operations. At the moment, BMG owns 40% of the voting capital stock and Itaú Unibanco owns 60%.

BMG strives to increase its presence in Brazilian sports by evaluating talented athletes in Minas Gerais and sponsoring dedicated professionals in a number of ways.

Ricardo Guimarães spoke about the reasons he helps hard-working sports talent saying that all of this is a way to pay homage to workers in the mining industry and to raise the company profile in innovative sectors.
